New Camera and Blogger Of The Week

Before I tell you all about the new blogger of the week, I want to tell you why I haven't been able to post lately until now. Here's why - I have been wanting to get a new camera for months now and I just bought a Nikon D60 yesterday night, so I am still getting used to all of it's features. But I just wanted to say that I will for now on be updating alot more :)

So, keep a close eye out at my Flickr and blog and I hope you all like it! :D

( I will also be putting up a new layout really soon!)
And the blogger of the week is....

Strawberry Koi!
Strawberry Koi is the one who inspired me to make my own blog. I learned about her in mid June while searching through the Modcloth pool on Flickr. I then relized that her photo's were amazing and I'll admit, viewed her blog about 8 times a day, anxious for a new, exciting post to be there for me to read. She truly is my reason of being in the blogging community. What I have said is only half of how she is my true inspiration!
She is also a sweet, helpful person who is willing to become friends with almost anyone!
And here is a link to her beautiful blog for you to view -

Too wonderful for words

You never believe where I found these Betsey Johnson dresses - Goodwill! My family and I were walking through a little rural town when we saw a little Goodwill hiding between two historic buildings downtown. The Goodwill was so tiny, that I had to talk my family into going in, for they thought it wouldn't have anything nice. Yet, when we went in, we relizied it was much better than we'd expected. There were only about four other customers there, so we got alot of attention from the sweet lady working the cash register.I had found a adorable little 60's dress and 40's skirt when the lady came up to me and told me to follow her. I did so curiously, but when she brought me to a rack at the back of the store and dug threw afew blouses, I new that what ever she was going to show me was going to be good. And it was - it was two (yes two!) Bestsey Johnson dresses for only $8 each! One was exactly my size and the other was a size to big, but it ended up still being perfect .You can few their dresses here - http://www.betseyjohnson.com/Women_Dresses_View_All/pl/c/1101.html

Roadtrip - Caddo Oklahoma

In honor of the end of Summer, I am currently on a long road trip all the way from a small town in Texas to Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Yesterday we were driving through little country towns in Oklahoma when we passed a little antique town called Caddo (You can view their site here, http://www.caddo-ok-today.org/templates/System/default.asp?id=39580)

They had so many antique stores either there in town or near by, it was probably the best little antique town in the world, and it was all extremely reasonably priced. I purchased the most adorable 50's pink junior dress for only $6!

My New Finds

Yesterday, I went shopping at my local vintage store, which unfortunately only has dresses, not very many shirts or ecspecially pants and skirts. But yesterday, my dream finally came true - I found a vintage shirt & skirt. I unfortunately can't have pictures of them up yet until I get a new camera, but I promise some soon =)
